A simpler panel would make it feel more relaxed to use. That is not a dealbreaker, just the kind of thing you notice when you are standing in the kitchen with groceries on the counter and you want dinner to happen without a lot of thinking.

I bought into this style of appliance because I wanted an easier way to handle ordinary food, not because I needed another gadget. That is where this one has earned its spot. It is handy for quick dinners, better leftovers, and the occasional batch of something crispy when I do not feel like heating the oven. I keep mine out where I can reach it, which says more than a long list of features ever could.
